Singleton Recreation and Community Club

The SR&CC Board has two representatives from the Bowling Club, Cricket Club, SRA and two Community members.  Its purpose is to bring all clubs and organisations using the Lawrie Stanford Reserve together to manage the reserve in their common interest.

A draft Lawrie Stanford Reserve Master Plan has been developed and will be considered by the Rockingham City Council in the next few months.

With the City Council have developing a Lawrie Stanford Reserve Master Plan the SR&CC Board hasn’t met for several months.  What has been occurring is that a representative from each of the SRA, Bowling Club, Social Club, Cricket Club, Tennis Club, Junior Soccer and SR&CC have been working with the City of Rockingham as members of the Lawrie Stanford Reserve Reference Group.

The City Council has provided SR&CC a grant that is being used along with contributions from the stakeholder organisations to hire a consultant.  The consultant is working with the stakeholder group to develop a governance model and business plan for an organisation to manage the Lawrie Stanford Reserve once the new facility has been built.
